Changing of Women Rules in Global Business Essay Example for Free

Changing of Women Rules in Global Business Essay Now, the role of women in todays society is becoming increasingly visible and important than in comparison with the situation of 30 years ago. More and more women have started to try their self in different areas of human society, such as politics, science, business, journalism, charity etc. And areas such as entrepreneurship and business is no exception, on the contrary, they have become a priority because the people who are successful in business will always be respected and considered, especially in the world mens rules. Since ancient times, men do not take women, as it was believed that a womans place in the family sphere, it is unusual and should stay at home, manage the household, raise children, take care of her husband and so forth, but those days are long gone, and the woman is free to do what though no one can deny them. While many may disagree with that, especially in societies living on the old foundations, and Sharia law, where the woman stays at home and raises her children. And I must admit that in the West and in the more developed countries, women with all other than for example in Muslim countries. Women are much freer in their choice and the right activities. That is, they are not worse than men; at least the governments of these countries have taken measures to gender equality and discrimination against women. Equality of rights is the essential foundation of any democratic society that aspires to social justice and respect for human rights. The modern woman in this world are becoming more and more independent, hence, with men moving into the background taking place with them on a social level by changing their stereotypes, which were considered by it since childhood, but when she decided to climb the social ladder, it must prepare for the development of foreign territory. And the higher it will go up, the less it will be around the fairer sex. Thus, for a higher level of women need to learn the rules of conduct in a mans world. The participation of women in business in the developed world and the familiar phenomenon is not surprising in the business world and society. Most commands respect the fact that women are showing remarkable abilities and business acumen. This paper is designed to explore the nature of womens social position and description of the main characteristics of their social status and studies of women in todays economy and business, market pressures on its social health. 1. The paradox of female companionship. According to the UN Population Division, 49. 7% of the population is women. It is difficult to understand the true customs and traditions, to experience how people live in a particular country. Moreover, even more difficult to provide an accurate picture of the situation of women in different countries where the image of a womans life is not as noticeable, where the woman does not participate in economic and political life of the country, where, as a rule, she plays the role of a wife, mother, mistress of the hearth . But sometimes those women, about which we firmly There are certain stereotypes are not living the way we imagine, have certain rights and status in society. It is known that Japanese women live in a society where dominates and rules the man. The dominant role of men in this country has developed historically for a long time, and, as in all countries of the East, the predominant role is expressed everywhere: in the business environment, and the arts, and in politics. But the beauty and uniqueness of Japanese women, her desire to agree, its great patience, a sense of harmony and balance in all things, the willingness to sacrifice were known to ancient times and carried the glory of a Japanese woman around the world. Japanese wife running the business is reconciled with the fact that her husband is found not more than a couple days a week. It may seem that the Japanese woman is under the yoke of patriarchy and pressure from the men. However, this is not the case. That Japanese has more rights than women of other countries in Asia and the Orient. Japanese woman confides education of children and the decision of their fate, it is completely given the right to dispose of her husbands earnings and decide what expenses and how much need to be done, the Japanese women work, and some of them are financially stable and resting on the feet. Japanese women are able to hide their feelings, build diplomatic relations with her husband, seeking from him a lot more than European women. But even with a lot of rights, under the influence of civilization, becoming more independent, educated and self-confident, a Japanese woman still accompanies her husband to the door, with reverence and obedience to lower our heads bowed her husband followed. In Iran, is rarely seen without a black woman, at least a green curtain that hides her hair, the shape, and sometimes even the face. From the outside it seems that the women in this traditional and patriarchal country have virtually no rights and are entirely dependent on men. In fact, it is in Iran, women live an active and fulfilling life. Active and energetic Iranian women evolved over many centuries. O daughters of checks that are cutting their beautiful hair and wore a military armor, as well as men to defeat the enemy, there is still a legend. Therefore, even the leader of the revolution in Iran, Imam Khomeini said that for the revolution is to thank the women. The case for women of the East, we can say that their situation is not so bad as we describe the Western media, so whether women in general to engage in politics or business to the detriment of his personal life and family. After all, we all know what this means, when a woman chooses a career, not a family. In Western countries, a woman does not want to lag behind men because society is so constructed that causes compete with the opposite sex, and to claim their rights. Thus, women put themselves under the family or career choice and the choice often falls on the first option. As a result, it leads to divorce or refraining from family relationships. Frequent quarrels and not paying enough attention to children, that leads to the child becoming self-contained and further experience severe stress. Also, women in these countries often lead dissolute lifestyle, drinking, smoking, etc. And it is for these reasons that many women somovolno decide to start a family, abandoning the business activity, and not because someone is prohibited for them or criticizes it. 2. Concept of â€Å"Businesswomen†. Business women are self-employed, as the rules inherent in the following personal qualities and characteristics. Women, as a rule, the nature carefully and meticulously know how to count money. If you want to explore the firms position in the market, the women successfully cope with it. Diligence and thoroughness, determination and precision, care of women in the work known to all. Ingenuity and flexibility of thinking, the ability to analyze and evaluate the readiness to make decisions, communication skills and social competence these are the qualities that a woman and needed her as an entrepreneur and manager. In most of the female population is at least half the workforce. At the time, the women are still facing difficulties in fully participating in the production process; they are, however, increase their buying power. Demographic studies show that an increasing number of women, who increasingly have to make decisions of financial issues. This trend is reflected in our developing world, where most of the immigrants were women. Women play an important and growing role in the global economy; they make a significant contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) by increasing the level of consumption of goods and especially the use of services. It is assumed that the increased participation of the female population in the labor market contributes to the potential growth of the economy, especially in the west. In most developed countries among students, first degree, as well as incomplete higher (the minimum period of training two years), more girls than boys. To business and to the success of women are moving a lot of reasons and motivations. Below are some of them: The desire to create the present and future of their own work; Hope unification into one work and personal life; The desire to realize their hopes and their style of business activity; Waiting for a good reward for their efforts and increase their personal wealth, Ability to reveal his I, his abilities as the previous post did not contribute to this; The tendency to take risks, find a way out of risk situations; The value of the specifics of growing back, which founded the company; The impact of friends and acquaintances; 3. Statistics and facts. In 2004, the U. S. percentage of girls among the students was 60%.  In the UK, this level is fixed at around 67%, in Germany 61%, and in Sweden 53%. Japan and Korea are among the leading countries in Asia: 65% and 52%, respectively (information is based on a report by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development). In general, this trend must modern employment opportunities, as well as increase the cost of living are not cheering. In general education strengthens position in the labor market, increasing its potential earnings. Migration of women to the private sector is not accidental. It is here that women managers can achieve some success. Business requires knowledge of financial problems, Mastering accounting, psychology, communication, and marketing. The rapid growth of economy women the burning topic of conversation, reports impress with reference to The Financial Times. According to the Boston Consulting Group, women control $ 12 trillion in global spending and are the driving force for earnings growth on a global scale, 5 trillion dollars, says journalist Lucy Warwick-Chin. From 2000 to 2007, in the U. S. he number of wealthy women, not less than one thousand five hundred dollars for investment, increased by 68%, while the number of wealthy men only 36%. Therefore, the economy women are called a force to be reckoned with. It is expected that its global economic impact in the coming years will be greater than that of Brazil, Russia, India and China combined. In some countries, women understand the strength of the economy is better: the powers of women in the U. S. are much higher, and their contribution to the economy more than British women and other women of the world. Why women are more successful in the manual? a) Women make better leaders they know how to think about several matters and, at the same time, to plan for the future, while men are able to concentrate on one issue, preferring to solve problems in series; b) Women are inherently more organized and able to act effectively because they mother. Take responsibility its in the nature of women; c) Purposeful Women and men consistently better eye for detail analyze and take into account the nuances of the work; d) Women more sociable, they tend to trust behavior. They are better at organizational and planning functions, adapt faster to changing conditions, regardless of the subordinates, contributes to these productivity improvements; e) Women leaders know best key people are products of their business are focused on the customer, the new product (or service) that is needed by the market; Women managers not only achieve lasting results of enterprises, but also create new jobs, successfully solve social problems as a team, and, especially, women, and the city in general. Organization is fully aware of the distinctive features of the motivation and methods of women will be more successful. Women take over 80% of purchasing decisions; they account for 70% of firms startups. This is the most important target group in the world. Conclusion: A woman in business today has become increasingly strengthening its position in the modern world women leading a significant percentage of all business structures. There is also a tendency to increase the number of women in business every year the percentage coming into the business men and women favor the women. From this we can conclude that the role of women in society as a whole is growing every year. Already, many men in business recognized for a number of their women preeminent in fact, in many areas of business activity, the stronger sex surrendered their positions. Thus, a woman in the business has a number of objective advantages over men, there are literally ome grown women hairdressing salons, beauty salons, retail trade, in general, any commercial enterprise, requiring attention to detail, with little or average number of staff personnel. The proportion of women is higher in small business, then medium businesses. In the large, the more international business, men continue to lead but in the management of the business often are forced to have female staff, as its presence in certain circumstances treats business tactics activi ties. According to psychologists, a woman in the business of building a more cautious relationship with its business partners, avoiding excessive risk-taking, sharp turns. It is particularly sensitive to the issues of corporate culture, introducing an element of warmth and nepotism in the business life of the strict rules of the organization. These factors, among other things, increase the profitability of new technologies that increase productivity. Female leader, as a carrier of emotional start, can acutely feel the psychological climate in the team, to understand what was going on the conflict, and, perhaps, to prevent its onset. In conclusion, I would like to give an answer of the American writer and historian G. Wils on the question of the most significant changes: For the past 40 years, the status of women has changed as it has not changed over the past four centuries. No change has not affected so deeply social. Changed relationship between wife to her husband, mother to child, woman to woman.

My Life Long Friends :: Friendship Essay

My Life Long Friends      Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Looking around my living room, I see my greatest friends of my life are all around me on my book shelves.   Every book I lift off the shelf pinpoints a time in my life.   They represent all the joy, sorrow, and laughter felt in my life.  Ã‚   The large, shiny red poetry book my father read to me reminds me of all of these.   It is probably my favorite.   Then I recall my people friends that attended school with me through the years.   What great fun they were!   I doubt I'll ever forget the smell of my kindergarten class and my first meeting with Belle Hudson.   As I get older, I realize how precious that friendship was.     It taught me how to be a friend and what I have seen in her is what I have looked for in friends ever since.   Now as an adult, I see Belle in friends like Tiffany, Rachelle and it seems my favorite characters in my books have always reminded me a bit of Belle.   Belle had a profound effect on me in childhood as well as later on in life.   She was my finest friend throughout grammar and Junior High school.   We fancied relishing our lunches together.   Laughing about the boys' wicked ways and planning our revenge   at the ensuing recess.   This always made lunch go by so swiftly.   It was hard to tear us apart.   Hell, it was hard to tell us apart.   We were both round bodied and a bit out of shape. But I always saw Belle in a jovial light.   She had a merry way about her, and her laugh was infectious; it reminded me if Christmas bells, tingly, jingling and warm.   I miss her.   She was happy, giving and warm.   Upon reflection, these are the attributes I look for in friends.      Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Rachelle holds a special place in my heart.   I work with her and have found her to be a superb listener and always seems to know how to dole out the right advice. It seems no issue is too large to solve, and I would love to duplicate her upbeat nature   in me. It was our mutual interest in books, not our hiring at the same company that   brought us together.   She desperately wants to be a great writer.   I know she will be.  Ã‚   As our friendship deepens, she has helped me realize my own potential.   Although younger than I, Rachelle has lived a much tougher life.   I could say I know this as hear her words of

Cinderella Story

Abdulaziz Alshehri 31 October 2012 Cinderella Story Cinderella is a wonderful Disney movie. The social injustice in Cinderella is how they treat her. The ugly stepsisters and the evil stepmother treat Cinderella like she is trash. They have no respect for her. In one scene they destroy a dress that she is wearing. Cinderella was enjoying a leisurely life with her parents. Likely, Cinderella is blessed with love and compassionate from her mother, also from her father. It was her parents who made the maximum effort for happiness. She was a beautiful little girl and highly intelligent. But the happiness turned into sadness when her mother fell ill, and the physicians were unable to help her mother. Then, she lived with her father, who was much loved and was hoping to help her. I this paper, I will be discussing the life of Cinderella and how it changed after her parents died. Cinderella’s Father was believed that she would be in better shape if he married a woman who had two daug hters. In the beginning, the stepmother treated Cinderella gently. After father died, stepmother impacted on Cinderella a harsh reality where she was treated like a maid.Stepmother was hateful and made Cinderella do chores without the help of her stepsisters. Cinderella was poor no and only had a few birds and mice that became her friends and also helped with household chores. The stepsisters prevailed a Cinderella and treated her poorly. Cinderella lived in the darkness of her stepmother and stepsisters. She was doing housework alone without any help (Cinderella story). In that time, Cinderella lived her life with her stepmother is injustice and oppression around them.Cinderella is dream was to live a long happy life. She dreamed to marry a rich man to care about her. One day, the King issued a decree making every girl a prospect for his son, the prince. The Prince would choose one lucky girl during the ceremony dance. Cinderella asked her stepmother and stepsisters to go with them to the ball. However, the stepmother requested that Cinderella clean the house. While cleaning Cinderella found beautiful clothes for the party. Unfortunately, hateful stepmother cut her dress and went to the concert without Cinderella.Shortly there after, a good witch appeared, provides Cinderella with a stylish new vehicle. However, she warned that the would magic will disappear in the middle of the night. Cinderella thanked her and left for the ball. The Prince was astonished and asked her to dance. Cinderella forgot about her miserable life. At midnight, Cinderella remembered the warning and left in a hurry. Without a farewell, she did not tell him her name. She just left one of her slippers at the party. In the early morning, the prince asked his deputy and driver to look of the owner of the shoe. When they arrived at the house, Cinderella’s stepmother tried not to let the Prince meet her. However, Cinderella’s loyal friends were there and told the prince about Ci nderella. Luckily, Cinderella and the Prince met and lived happily ever after (Cinderella story). Over centuries of children have been enjoying the classic fairy tales of the Grimm Brothers and Charles Perrault. The fanciful plots and the vivid details allow children to be entranced by characters and adventures that can only be found in these stories. One of the most beloved fairy tales, which both the Perrault and the Grimm’s have their own separate versions of Cinderella. Cinderella is able to show how both versions are able to feed off the same plots while personifying the century and social economic situation in which they have lived†. Given that the time periods are very different (by 150 years), the formula for their fairy tales seems to remain constant. Character development, which is very important in fairy tales is both well done and accurately portrays the living situation for a character in the time period of when it was written.Perrault's version seems to put Cinderella's family in a higher, well-off situation of the Grimm's because she is still abided to obey the rules that her dying mother had set for her. Something that you would see a women do in the late 1700's. Her higher class and the rules of her generation has set her to not have revenge on her stepsisters and helps her marry the prince in the end; as result, this makes a happy story for everyone. This also gives off the rules of the time to the young girls who would be listening or reading this story back then. They knew their place in society and tales like Alzair Salim. The Arabic story, titled Rihab, has key elements in the story line that make it different from Perrault's Cinderella. The theme becomes different as the end of the tale results in revenge on the stepsisters from Rihab. This variation in the story line represents the setting in which the Grimm's either lived in themselves, or the living situation of the people who related this tale to the Grimm's† (compar ing Versions of Cinderella). Finally, the Cinderella story is trying to explain the hope for the future and waiting a better life.Cinderella believed marring Prince that lived in a beautiful palace was a sign that she had reached her goal. But it's nice to have a goal and actually get there. The story of Cinderella has transferred to many different era’s. The Greek historian Strabo said a similar story about Egyptian maid of Greek origin called Rohdobs, which has lagged behind Ahmose II ceremony because it does the work for other maids. Eagle came and stole her shoes and put it in front of the king. Eagle asked the king of all the women of his parish experience shoe was the only Rohdobs to boot Aumha. He fell King Pegramha married her. And can refer to the assets of the story until the sixth century BC from the days of Aesop (620-560 BC). Famed author of fairy tales, and a similar story appeared in 860 AD in China called yen weighed. As many as similar stories talk about injus tices and hating in different languages around the world. Cinderella has different types of versions stories, which have the same benefits for children (Cinderella Wikipedia). Work Cite D. L. Ashliman. Cinderella story. 28 October 2012. Thin Layer Chromatography of the Unknown Analgesic Jessica Bajao*, Phoebe Abalos, Kevin Antiga, Carmelus Aseneta 3-Biology 2 College of Science, University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines Abstract The group used five different analgesics in this experiment: aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, caffeine, and mefenamic acid. Six analgesics were spotted on the TLC plate including the unknown. After the development of the TLC plate, it was placed under ultraviolet light for the spots resulted to be traced. The distance from the origin to the solvent front and the distances from the origin to the center of each spot formed were measured to calculate for the retention factor. The resulted retention factor of the unknown is 0. 71 which is similar to ibuprofen which also has a retention factor of 0. 71. Using thin layer chromatography, we identified the unknown analgesic to be ibuprofen. Introduction [9] The history of chromatography begins during the mid-19th century. Chromatog raphy literally meant color writing which was primarily used for the separation of plant pigments such as xanthopyll. New types of chromatography were developed during the 19th century (and before) the first true chromatography is attributed to the Russian botanist, Mikhail Semyonovich Tsvet. He separated plant pigments with the used of columns of calcium carbonate during his research for chloropyll during the first decade if the 20th century. [9] During the 1940s and 1950s, chromatography became developed substantially as a result of the work of Archer John Porter Martin and Richard Laurence Millington Synge. They established basic techniques and principles of partition chromatography method: Paper chromatography, gas chromatography, and the high performance liquid chromatography. Technology has advanced rapidly since then. The main principles of Tsvet’s chromatography could be applied in many different ways, researchers found. Thus, using this as baseline, the improve d the techniques of chromatography, allowing the separation of increasingly similar molecules. [2] Chromatography is a collective term for the separation of mixtures in a set of laboratory techniques. It involves a mixture dissolved in a mobile phase passing through a stationary phase which separated the analyte from the other molecules in the mixture. [1] In other words, chromatography is the process of separating mixtures into their constituents by a preferred adsorption by a solid for example column of silica, a strip of filter paper, or by a gel. [8] Repeated absorption or desorption acts takes place during the movement of the sample to the stationary bed which determine the rates. The time spent in a column is directly proportional to the affinity a molecule has for the stationary phase. 8] Chromatography has several reasons which make it special. One is that it can separate complex mixtures with great precision. Chromatography can purify basically any soluble or volatile su bstance with the right adsorbent material, carrier fluid, and operating conditions. Another is that chromatography can be used to separate delicate products since it does not undergo any severe conditions. Therefore, the use of chromatography is best fitted in the field of biotechnology, specifically in separating mixtures of protein. [5] Chromatographic techniques are quite necessary in the analysis of modern day food and drugs. 6] A few of the widely popular techniques are gas chromatography (GC) which uses an inert gas as the mobile phase instead of a liquid solvent, and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) which is an improved column chromatography which is aided by gravity . [5] Thin layer chromatography (TLC), which also is a gas chromatography, is an analytical technique to determine the components of a mixture. [7] TLC also supports the identity of a compound in a mixture by comparing the Rf of a compound is compared with the Rf of a known compound. Results and Disc ussion The standards used were (1) aspirin, (2) acetaminophen, (3) ibuprofen, (4) caffeine and (5) mefenamic acid. The measured distance from the origin to the solvent front was 63 cm. Analgesic| Distance from the origin to the center of the spot (x)| Aspirin| 39 cm| Acetaminophen| 32 cm| Ibuprofen| 45 cm| Caffeine| 14. 5 cm| Mefenamic Acid| 44 cm| Unknown| 44. 5 cm| Table 1. The group’s data of the distances of each analgesic, including the unknown from the origin to the center of the spot formed. The group’s result in computing for the refraction factor and the solutions. The table shows that the refraction factor of Ibuprofen is the same as the unknown. Figure 1. The TLC plate of commercial analgesics. The characteristic that the unknown exhibits is the same as ibuprofen. Both exhibited a kidney-shape. Based on the results, the group the group therefore concludes that the unknown is ibuprofen. Experimental The developing chamber was prepared by the group using a 200 mL beaker with filter paper shaped along the inside of the beaker leaving a small arc. Approximately 10 mL solvent system (25:1:1EtAc:EtOH:HAc) was prepared in the beaker. Aluminum foil was used to cover the beaker. The preparation of the TLC plate was the drawing of line across of the origin measuring 1 cm from the bottom and the solvent front which is . 5 cm from the top. The bottom line is called the origin and the line on the top is called the solvent front. On the origin, five dots were drawn equidistantly. A capillary tube was used in spotting samples on the TLC plate. The five analgesics were spotted 5 times on the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 with aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, caffeine and mefenamic acid respectively. Lastly spot ted was the unknown A which was assign to our group. In developing the TLC plate inside the developing chamber, the group placed the TLC plate in a manner where the solvent system does not reach the plate’s origin. With the plate inside, capillary action would be observed starting from the most bottom part working its way up to the solvent front. The plate was taken out when it reached the solvent front then it was air dried. The dried plate was placed under a UV chamber. The glowing spots were traced very lightly by a pencil. Finally, the group calculated for the refraction factor by getting the distances from the origin to the center of each spots, our â€Å"x† and the distance from the origin to the solvent front, our â€Å"y† given the formula Rf = xy .
